Experience

ELPAVO Training focus for the last 17 years has been on International Certifications in Cost Engineering; Planning and Scheduling and Earned Value Professional administered by AACEI and accredited by ICEC and Document Control Course.

Future plans for ELPAVO TRAINING Consultancies is to establish the following new courses aligned with the International AACEI Certifications in 2011:

  • Certified Estimating Professional (CEP)
  • Certified Forensic Claims Consultant (CFCC)

Board Member of the Business Services Chamber Board at Services SETA March 2000 to June 2001.

Board Member of SAPCI (previously known as CEASA) since 1998. Involved in secretarial duties since 1995.

Previously worked for 19 years at Sasol. Started as a Secretary, and received a promoted to an Executive Secretary before moving on to the Personnel Department in a General Human Resources function. Very proud to have worked for the following senior managers of SASOL: Dr Dave R Day; Mr Jan H Fourie; Mr I P Marais (Oom Sakkie) and Mr Pat Davies

 

SAPCI

Board member of SAPCI for the last 13 years. Responsible for the administration function, (with the help of Patricia Smith for the last six years.)

During the abovementioned period:

  • The Late Hub Paquay received five International Certificates (1997 - 2000).
  • SAPCI received The Excellent Section Award from AACEI twice since 2002 todate.

Also responsible for the Education portfolio of SAPCI.

My goals are:

  • to put a South African Cost Engineering Certification in place
  • to strengthen SAPCI’s role in the Industry
  • to develop, with the help of the industry a learnership for young Cost Technicians

Keeping the link between SAPCI and the International bodies such as American Association of Cost Engineers (AACEI) and International Cost Engineering Council (ICEC) strong and healthy.

 

Personal Details

I love to spend time with my grandchild, Ruan. The best thing ever!!!!!

If I am not busy driving the Cost Engineers crazy, I love to work in the garden and just generally being in nature.

Actively involved in the Wholeness Centre of the Mosaïek Church.

And if that is not enough I have two very old Jack Russels Ladies at home, giving me all the love and affection in the world.

Guess what: "I am a Cheetah supporter!!!!" Always have been: always will be!
