Hammock
An activity spanning two or more activities; its duration is initially unspecified and only determined by the duration of the activities spanned. The existence or absence of a connected path between the predecessor and successor events and/or activities spanned has no effect on its existence, and the word DURATION has no significance when applied to it. Synonymous with AGGREGATE ACTIVITY. (FLUOR)

Handling Cost
Costs for handling, storing, and re-distributing goods and materials. (ACE)

1. Engineering designs and drafting.
2. Consultant's fees and/or management costs.
3. Contractors fee and/or profit.
4. Purchasing.
5. Legal costs.
6. General overheads.

Height Money
Allowance payable to labour required to work at heights or adjacent to holes, as laid down in trades union working agreements. (ACE)
or
Allowance payable to those working above heights laid down in agreements with respective trade unions. This is also paid if a man is working adjacent to a hole of the same depth as the height agreement or above the hole if there is any possibility of his falling through the opening. (ACE)
Historical Analysis
Detailed and systematic analysis of recorded cost and performance data on completed projects. (ACE)
Historical Costing
The determination and recording of actual expenditure after it has been incurred. (ACE)

Home Office Costs
Are defined as the salaries and reimbursables of personnel who are regularly and permanently assigned to the Home Office, and shall include ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT and PROJECT MANAGEMENT. The costs of Home Office personnel temporarily assigned to the Field Office shall be regarded as Home Office Costs. (EMS)

Those costs, which are incurred by home office, based personnel in the execution of the design engineering and control of a project. (FLUOR)
