Quantities

General term relating to material or construction quantities as measured for a project. (ACE)

Target quantities for completion. (ACE)

Quantity Control

Systematic restraint on design activity in order to complete within established quantity budgets. (ACE)

Quantity Forecast

Estimate of final quantities. (ACE)

Quantity Roll-Up

The procedure of accumulation of total measured output of each intermediate operation required for end product manufacture. (ACE)

Quantity Surveyor

A person qualified to prepare the bill of quantities and commissioned to supervise, check and certify payment of completed work. (ACE)

Quantity Take-off

Process of measuring material or construction quantities from drawings. (ACE)

Quantity Trend

Perceived sequence of either adverse or favourable quantity variances. (ACE)

Queue

The set whose members are waiting to enter a specific equipment item. (FLUOR)

Quotation

A statement from a supplier to a prospective customer giving a concise description of the goods offered for sale and the price, stating destination and proposed delivery time. (ACE)
